Responsible for evaluating, maintaining and processing official transactions pertaining to transfer articulation and related student academic records, ensuring the protection of student records in compliance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). This includes evaluating prior education and determining which credits meet General Education and other requirements for undergraduate online programs.

  • Evaluates transcripts and determines if coursework is transferable and fulfills General Education and other requirements for undergraduate programs offered online

  • Utilizing Banner, processes initial evaluations, re-entries, and re-admission for undergraduate online students and accurately inputs transferable coursework and updates student records as needed and reviews the degree audit system for accuracy

  • Researches transfer work from other institutions and determines the accurate transfer of such credit to NLU and coordinates with faculty as needed

  • Communicates the University’s transfer policies and procedures to enrollment representatives, academic advisors, and assists other areas as needed

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in higher education and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proficiency with computers and various software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Banner experience is a plus)

  • Takes an analytical approach to breaking down problems and issues into sub-components and then assesses benefits and risks of various options prior to selecting a particular approach

  • Personally demonstrates that external (or internal) customers are a high priority.

  • Identifies customer needs and expectations and responds to them in a timely and effective manner.

  • Anticipates and prevents delays or other things that can adversely affect the customer

  • Experience taking a proactive approach to anticipating and preventing problems

  • Team oriented and strives to ensure team success
