Children's Outreach Counselor

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking an energetic and creative person for a full-time Outreach Counselor position to work in our Children’s Program (ChIP), providing community-based support services to children and families.

As an Outreach Counselor, you’ll have the opportunity to work in the community with children ages 4-18 with identified behavioral and/or emotional challenges. You’ll be working with children and their families, providing symptom management, support services and assessing clients in crisis. You will be working with a talented clinical team to help families and children meet their recovery goals.


  • Provide community-based services to children and their families

  • Work with treatment team to facilitate case coordination and information sharing

  • Participate in the development and implementation of client treatment goals

  • Work with children and their families to build symptom management skills

  • Collect, manage, and record data


  • A Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, human services, rehabilitation or a related field is required.

  • A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance is required.

  • Enthusiasm about sports and/or other indoor/outside youth related activities is preferred.

  • The ability to work flexible hours, including four weekdays and one weekend day is required.
